Enjoy the full version of this new video for a deep insight on Las Pizarras, the exciting new range of wines from Viña Errázuriz:

As explained in JamesSuckling.com website, “the quality of Chile’s Pinot Noir has in recent years reached a new benchmark. Careful clone selection, soil studying and meticulous search for appropriate sites, in addition to Chile’s diverse climates are largely responsible for this quality improvement. Errazuriz’s winemaker Francisco Baettig and owner Eduardo Chadwick chose Aconcagua Costa for its cool climate. While mapping out the geological formations in the property they also discovered that it was very heterogeneous. Their new project Las Pizarras is what Francisco refers to as the “Grand Cru” of the property. The vineyard is planted in schistous soils that confer a distinct character to both their pinot and their chardonnay. The wines are compact yet sinuous, with all elements balanced in a very delicate way. A triumph for Chile’s pinots.”
