The prestigious publication awarded with 96+ points the 2018 vintage of Las Pizarras Chardonnay, ranking it in the first place among all wines tasted for third year in a row, an acknowledgement that acquires even greater importance, as it is a white wine.

The other two wines that are part of Las Pizarras project in Aconcagua Costa also accomplished outstanding scores: Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2018 with 96 points and Las Pizarras Syrah 2017 with 94 points on its very first vintage.

Don Maximiano -the winery’s flagship wine- was awarded with 93+ points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and 96 points from English critic Tim Atkin MW, published on the same day, demonstrating the consistency of Viña Errázuriz for all its Icon wines and consolidating its position as Chile’s quality leader.

Viña Errázuriz fulfilled an outstanding performance after obtaining brilliant scores by Luis Gutiérrez which were recently published in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate in August 30, 2019.

The greatest among these scores was conferred to Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2018: “2017 was not an easy act to follow, but the 2018 Aconcagua Costa “Las Pizarras” Chardonnay managed nicely. From a cool year, it has notes of white flowers and nuts (…) It’s vertical and mineral and has nice tension, following the path of the 2015 and 2017.”

Eduardo Chadwick, Viña Errázuriz’s President, commented: “As a team, we receive these scores sincerely proud and with the deepest satisfaction, as it is a reward that recognizes the dedication and hard work our team has accomplished over the years in the Aconcagua Costa appellation, and it is also the consolidation of our classic wines coming from the interior of the valley, strengthening Errázuriz’s philosophy of placing Chile as a world-class appellation.”
