Icon wine Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve 2021 receives an outstanding 98 points in the Descorchados Guide 2024

Mid-November saw the release of the scores awarded by South America’s leading wine guide Descorchados 2024, which is published by renowned Chilean wine writer and critic, Patricio Tapia. In this edition of the Guide, Viña Errázuriz wines once again ranked among the best, including several from the Aconcagua Valley, with scores above 90 points.

The most outstanding was Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve 2021, a Viña Errázuriz icon that bears the name of the winery’s founder and represents its legacy, tradition and ongoing drive to create the best and most elegant wine. It obtained an impeccable 98 points, positioning itself within the Top 10 Red Wines as the Best Aconcagua Red and the Best Red Blend (tied). Along with this milestone, Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2022 received a stunning 97 points, joining the Top 10 White Wines and Best Aconcagua Chardonnay rankings.

Meanwhile, Viña Errázuriz' iconic Carmenere, KAI 2021, was recognized with a score of 95 points, along with Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2022. Wines in the MAX line also earned acclaim, including the Pinot Noir 2022 and MAX 8 2021, both with 93 points, as well as MAX Chardonnay with 92 points.

These honours reflect and reaffirm Viña Errázuriz’ ongoing efforts to continue producing the world’s most distinguished wines of the highest quality.
